“Portuguish” is a concept created to offer a much easier approach based on your daily life. The idea is not to be a perfect speaker. The goal is just to be able to start communicating in Portuguese and improve as you wish.

2:1 Lessons

Personalised for 2 students at a similar level. Join with someone you know, or we pair you with a student at a similar level.

Private Lessons

Focused support for your needs. Preparation for citizenship A2 exam, or any personal language goal you want to achieve.

45 Minutes

A focused session designed around you: practice real conversations, ask questions, and make fast progress.

Monthly Price

Shared (2:1) Lessons: 55€ per Person, per Month for 1 Session a Week.

Private (1:1) Lessons: 110€ per Person, per Month for 1 Session a Week.

The Concept

We all know that communicating in Portuguese can be very frustrating - especially if you struggle with old-fashioned lessons where you're supposed to learn all the technicalities of the language before being able to speak or understand what locals say to you.

That's why we reverse this process and work with you to build confidence to express yourself from the very beginning. As you advance, we'll help you improve how you speak by teaching you more grammar concepts and day-to-day expressions.

Practical Classes

Our online lessons are personalised (private or for 2 students max) to ensure that you progress in the best possible way both in terms of communicating as well as understanding different Portuguese speakers. If you don't have a friend to share the lessons with you, we can always pair you with another student at a similar level!

With this method the capacity to learn increases step by step and you can really experience your progress without being afraid to fail.

The Founder

Olá, my name is Inês Nunes, I was born in Lisbon and luckily grew up in the sunny Algarve! Over the years I've seen so many foreigners (some are friends of mine) struggling every day to learn Portuguese. The traditional lessons weren't working at all so I decided to create an alternative method to help them communicate without being worried about the language technicalities.

Our Portuguish sessions will be very useful for your day-to-day life and guided with an easy approach. Trust me, we can do this together while having a great time!
